Frank McGovern, MD

Interests: Oncology, Opioid Use Reduction


Dr. McGovern is most often found in the OR or at the pool. He believes that athletic fitness is absolutely required in order to maintain one’s physical and mental health and to operate at one’s full potential in surgery. He is a former All-American collegiate swimmer from Hopkins who still swims almost every day and is faster than most swimmers even third of his age. Many of his residents also claim that he runs a marathon per day as he runs back and forth between his OR and clinic. He also enjoys triathlons, long bikes rides, and spending time with his family.
