Backpacking on Mount Rogers Loop Trail with WAEM & Dr. Roberts (Duke School of Medicine)

We're teaming up with the Wilderness, Austere, and Environmental Medicine (WAEM) Interest Group and everyone's favorite kidney doctor, Dr. John Roberts, to plan Medicine in Motion's first overnight backpacking trip this August! We'll hike the 21.5-mile Mount Rogers Loop Trail in Virginia's Grayson Highlands State Park. 

Although we are still firming up the details, we will tentatively plan to depart from Durham the morning of Saturday, August 19th, and return the evening of Sunday, August 20th. More details to come! 

Space is limited to the first 15 folks who express interest, so sign-up quickly and we'll reach out to coordinate logistics, including departure timing, transportation, and backpacking equipment (including rentals through Duke Outdoors Adventures for those in need of gear) !
