About the Event
Calling all years of medical students! We will join together for a community-wide hike where you can discuss tips for whatever this coming year has in store for you, chat about non-medical things, or just enjoy nature in non-awkward silence (looking at you introverts).
MS1s - after wrapping up a chill, informative immersion experience under the direction of the one and only Dr. Julian Hertz, come hike with us and learn tips and tricks ahead of the start of FPC1.Â
Rising MS2s - after investigating all the things you don't know about clinical year in CSI, come learn from the outgoing MS2 pros and share your excitement (and knowledge) about being done with FPC.
Outgoing MS2s - after being so close to finishing and crushing the wards, come learn about what MSFREE looks like and share wisdom on clinical year with rising MS2s.
MS3s /MS4s - come mingle, impart all those patient-centered interviewing skills and that motivational interviewing you still use regularly ( 😉 ) and maybe you'll learn a bit that will help on the wards after a year (+) out of the hospital.
Hiking location is in Hillsborough 15 min from Duke's campus and hike will be about 2.5 miles and done likely in just over an hour. Come for the views and advice and stay for the company, snacks, and chance at free Medicine in Motion gear!Â
