André Botega

André is a third year medical student at Universidade do Vale do Sapucaí, MG – Brazil. He has been interested in sports all his childhood, mainly swimming. In the first year of college he tried to participate in several sports, but it was in swimming that he found his passion again. So he started going to training and he joined some competitions and it has been wonderful for both his physical and mental health. He has noticed how a medical student’s life is stressful and full of pressure and he is sure that sports are a great way out for all this problem. He is excited to bring this project to Brazil.

Israel Junior

Israel is a third year medical school student from UNIVAS, MG – Brazil. Sports have always been a big part of his life. He played soccer for every school that he studied since he was a kid. Later he started to go to the gym and do other exercises that always gave him a better student performance and a nice mental and physical health. All of this conditioned him to believe in the power of sport to make us more powerful and healthier people. For that reason he believes that Medicine in Motion it’s a wonderful way to promote a better quality of life for medical students and he’ll do his best for the project and the causes!

Maria Gabriella Borges

Maria is a fourth – year medical student from Universidade do Vale do Sapucaí, MG – BR. Since first year she played volleyball for her college and it has been wonderful both mental and physical health, it was so many times that she was so overwhelmed with her studies and that training was the way to relieve all the tension. That said, she thinks incorporating sports into medical student’s life is crucial to avoid burnouts as sports provide new interactions with new people and relieve the stress of academic life. She can’t wait to bring Medicine in Motion to Brazil!
