Cambridgeside 10K (Tufts University School of Medicine)

The TUSM Running Club had the largest team at the Cambridgeside 10K this past fall with over 40 members running the race. We had a diverse group with members from the medical school, graduate school, dental school, and more!

Buzzard's Bay Triathlon (Tufts University School of Medicine)

After a successful showing at the Harvest triathlon in Spring 2018, we had a lot of return triathletes competing at the Buzzard’s bay tri. Huge shout out to Leigh (M21) and Ben (M22) who both placed in their age groups.

Fenway Spartan (Tufts University School of Medicine)

We had a great showing at the chilly Fenway Spartan sprint this fall. It was the first Spartan race for a lot of members and hopefully not the last!

Alessandra Sadler

Alessandra is an M2 at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. She is from Southern NH and went to college at Tufts University, where she earned her B.S. in biology. Also during her college years, she played on the Tufts Women’s Soccer team as an outside midfielder. She currently captains the Tufts Med club soccer team. She also loves to ski, snowboard, run and do yoga. Aside from sports, she enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends. As a Tufts MM chapter lead, she hopes to spread her enthusiasm for the MM mission to those in the Tufts Community.

Ashley Latona

Ashley is an M1 at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. She is from central NJ and went to college at Tufts University, where she earned her B.S. in biochemistry with a minor in history. Also during her college years, she played on the Tufts Women’s Soccer team as a center midfielder. She currently captains the Tufts Med club soccer team. She also loves to run, hike and ski. Aside from sports, she enjoys reading and spending time with friends and family. As a Tufts MM chapter lead, she hopes to spread her enthusiasm for the MM mission to those in the Tufts Community.

Jillian Haywood

Jillian is a first-year medical student at Tufts University School of Medicine. She is from Western Massachusetts and grew up swimming, playing soccer and lacrosse, and skiing. At Swarthmore College, she was a member of the varsity swim team for three years before joining the varsity cross country and track teams for her senior year. Running is a passion of hers, and she is grateful that it has allowed her to connect with others and explore new places. She loves the sense of community that comes from participating in athletics and strongly believes in the positive impact that physical activity can have on mental health and wellness. She is excited to a be a part of promoting the mission of Medicine in Motion!

Luke Andrews

Luke is a second year medical student in the Tufts University Maine Track. He grew up outside of Portland, ME where he played soccer, lacrosse and ski raced. Luke attended Colby College, where he majored in Biology with a concentration in neuroscience and played on the men’s soccer team. He worked as a ski patroller in Park City, UT for 2 winters in between undergrad and medical school. He is a passionate biker, runner, and skier and believes that exercise is truly the best form of stress relief. He is excited to bring the philanthropy, community-building, and fitness lifestyle of Medicine in Motion to Tufts and the Maine Track!

Mike Zarra

Michael is an M1 at Tufts University School of Medicine. He grew up in Cheshire, CT with a large Italian family playing soccer every chance he got. Michael attended Trinity College where he earned a B.S in neuroscience and walked onto the track & field team as a pole-vaulter. At Tufts, he continues to stay active through the club soccer team, running, hiking, and lifting weights. As a Tufts MiM Chapter Lead, he hopes to alleviate stress and burnout by encouraging daily physical activity amongst the Tufts Community. Whether it’s taking the stairs or climbing a mountain, getting active is a big win for mental and physical wellness!
