American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine
Abby Fontenot is a first-year medical student at the AUC. She grew up in the small town of Eunice, Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana State University in 2022 with her Bachelor of Science in Biology. While at LSU, she participated in intramural volleyball, took ‘hot girl walks’ around the university lakes, and worked out at the university recreation center. As a medical student, she continues to keep the balance between studying and mental health by working out and playing intramural volleyball most weekends. Abby is ecstatic to be able to help students at AUC maintain their physical and mental well-being through Medicine in Motion.
Emily is currently a first-year medical student at AUC. Emily grew up in Port Sanilac, Michigan. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology from William Jewell College in Missouri in 2022 where she was also a member and captain of the swim team. Emily enjoys swimming, hiking and just being outdoors whenever she can. Through Medicine in Motion she will be able to continue her passion for fitness and wellness while giving back to the community.
Natalie Q. Wilson
Natalie Q. Wilson is a first-year medical student at AUC. She grew up in Utah, where she completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Health, Society, and Policy at the University of Utah in 2021. She loves doing anything outdoors including rock climbing, roller skating, hiking, and especially snowboarding during the winters. She has always been active, playing soccer, volleyball, running cross-country, and dancing while growing up. Her favorite ways to stay active and balance wellness and academics while in medical school are doing her “hot girl 12-3-30” walks while watching her lectures, walking her dogs, going to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes, and going to the beach. Natalie is thrilled to have the opportunity to help other students find balance between wellness and academics through Medicine in Motion.
Victoria grew up in a Catholic family in the middle of Florida between two major cities. With most of the area owned by local ranchers she started horseback riding at a very young age. She continued to ride in college on the school team. Additionally, she loves Foxhunting and is an active member of South Creek Foxhounds. Victoria's love for science kicked off in college where she completed research at her university's pharmacy school on G-protein coupling receptors in hepatic tissues. After graduating college early she became an EMT in her local town in Florida and started aviation school due to her love of adventure. She became a licensed pilot in 2022 right before starting at AUC College of Medicine. Her love for adventure, animals, and the outdoors drove her interest in Medicine in Motion and she looks forward to continuing her healthy life balance throughout the rest of medical school!
