Barcelona will take on neighbours Espanyol, while Villarreal and Valencia face off and Cadiz do battle against Almeria.

Real Madrid will return to action with a visit to Real Valladolid, while Atletico will celebrate the new year with a home tie against Elche.

Final matchday

It's a long way to Matchday 38 of the campaign, but there could be plenty to play for and many of Spain's biggest clubs will come head to head for the final game of the season.

Real Madrid welcome Athletic Club to the Bernabeu, while Atletico will face Villarreal, Barcelona will travel to Celta Vigo and Sevilla play Real Sociedad in San Sebastian.

Barcelona's Catalan Derby against Espanyol on New Year's Eve has already been mentioned, with the reverse tie at the RCDE Stadium taking place on May 14.
